OK, I have two ancient relics I want to get you guys' opinions on.
The first is a small cat-idol. Life-size, it looks like a cat sitting down, with one paw out and the claws on that paw extended. Anyone who grabs the cat by the paw has to succeed on a reflex save or take one point of damage from getting scratched by the claws (overcomes all DR and ignores armor). Anyone who gets scratched by the idol has several things happen to them. First, instantly, they get +4 dex, +2 on all balance, tumble and jump checks, and -1 on swim checks. They also acquire (feline) as a subtype. Then, over the course of the next 3d8 hours, they undergo a physical transformation that results in them becoming cat-people. Now, the exact details of the transformation are up to the DM, but fur, cat ears, a cat tail, and claws are common. The claws also give the character the monk ability to decide to deal lethal or nonlethal damage with unarmed attacks. This can be removed by a Remove Curse spell of sufficient power, a Limited Wish, Wish or Miracle spell (Limited Wish requires the same amount of time to change back, Wish and Miracle change you back instantly), or by breaking the statue. When the statue is broken, it emits colored smoke which fills a 15-ft space, then disperses. Anyone within that radius who is affected with the curse this statue bestows is instantly cured.

The other one is the Dewitchery Diamond. This appears to be a large diamond, which registers as magical to anything that can detect the presence of magic. Any creature who touches it who is under the "curse" of a physical transformation (eg, lycanthropy, a Polymorph effect or similar) who touches the diamond is instantly split into two separate beings. The creatures are completely identical, with one exception. One is the creature who touched it with the "curse" removed, but can take on the physical form of the curse at will (free action). The other is permanently under the full effect of the curse and can inflict others with it. As an example, someone becomes afflicted with lycanthropy, becoming a werewolf. They go and touch the diamond, and now you have one person who is permanently normal, but can take on a lupine body, and one who is permanently the insane, raving wolf form and can turn others into werewolves.
