"Advanced Learning" for Dread Necromancer-domain spells? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Would domain-only spells qualify, since by definition they are cleric spells?

Actually, domain only spell, are by definition domain spells.
They are not on the cleric spell list unless the Cleric takes the domain.
Since the DN can't pick two domains (like a cleric can), it can't be a choice for AL.

Just to further build on it, this is why you will see spells listed like:

Level: Air 3, Brd 3, Sor/Wiz 3

Notice the Air domain level is specified but not a Cleric level. Domain lists really aren't the same as Cleric lists.
