"Area : 20-ft cube / level" ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-28-04, 05:31 PM I must be daft, but I can't make my mind on what that means in the case of the area for a spell. Is it one cube with each dimension being 20-ft/level, or is it one cube/level, each cube having a side length of 20-ft ? In the latter case, can I arrange those cubes as I see fit (e.g. at CL 16, a 4*4*1 array or a line of 16 of those cubes, whichever suits me best at the moment) ?

I.E. the smaller one, not the bigger one.

The cubes must touch each other, generally completely one side touching the other.

But you can make it a line, an "L" shape, a cube, a rectangle, a wierd zig zag shape, whatever.
