Now, as far as I understand it, magical weapons get +2 hardness and +10hp per point of enhancement bonus (and, despite 3.0 and what it says in the DMG, you do not need a weapon of equal or higher enhancement bonus to damage it).

Is there any enhancement which makes a weapon more durable? I heard about one called "invulnerable" or somesuch, but only in passing...

Assuming all of these stack...Magically Hardened Psionically Hardened Magically Reenforced Psionically Reenforced Obdurium is pretty much invulnerable:

(((30 (base hardness) + 5 (magical hardening) + 5 (psionically harden) ))*2 (magically reenforced)))*2 (psionically reenforced) = 160 Hardness.

Of course, that's probably illegal for numerous reasons, so the closest you can get with Obdurium is Psionically Hardened Magically Reenforced Obdurium, which is still pretty close to invulnerable.

(30 (base hardness) + 5 (psionic hardening))*2 = 70 Hardness.

Obdurium is found in the Strongholder Builder's Guide.

Another metal, found in the Book of Exhalted Deeds, is called Arorum and provides a different kind of invulnerable: should it be broken, and all of its broken parts brought together, it will reform.
