| Sildatorak01-25-07, 09:08 PM | I can't seem to find it, but I believe being knocked prone causes flying creatures to stall. I could be totally off base though. |
| TheCobra01-25-07, 09:39 PM | Yeah, that's what the FAQ says happens when you trip winged creatures. It seems reasonable for the same thing to happen with great thunderclap, but I was wondering if the rules address this specifically. What about being buried, as with bombardment and similar spells? Does the creature fall with rocks on top of her? |
| Nicholas the Paladin01-26-07, 03:49 PM | I don't know these spells, but aren't flying creatures immune to tripping? They probably recover too quickly to take any advantage out of it. |
| tarkin01-26-07, 04:55 PM | A literal reading of the rules says nothing happens to them. A suggested rules offers a reasonable interpretation that a similar act to trip causes a creature that uses wings to Stall. I would use that rule. |
| TheCobra01-26-07, 05:17 PM | A literal reading of the rules says nothing happens to them. Does it? Wouldn't saying they become prone as any other creature would be just as RAW? As far as I know, nothing in the rules says flying creatures can't be knocked prone. A suggested rules offers a reasonable interpretation that a similar act to trip causes a creature that uses wings to Stall. So you think creatures using magical flight should be able to ignore that party of great thunderclap? |
