Anyone knows if there is any spell that makes the target odorless ?
My rogue char is having a hard time hiding from monsters/animals with the Scent ability. I searched a few books but couldn't find anything.

A potion of pass without trace keep your from being tracked. A potion of hide from animals keeps animals away.

Cheap solutions:
* several packets of pepper
* a bag of skunk cabage
* cheap perfume

Uncommon solutions:
* a dire skunk.

I guess my group`s ilusionist will have to research a new spell: Ilusory Smell.. hehhehe...

Any poison (or drug) with the "inhaled" delivery type.

I've seen the spell before. I know it requires troll dung as the material component. I think it's a 1st level spell (maybe 2nd) that last 10 min (maybe an hour) per level.

The poison idea is good... The problem is when you would want to go unnoticed at all instead of getting rid of the sniffer.

Complete Arcane has a similar spell - superior invisibility, except that it's 9th level, has a 10 minute casting time, and gives you additional protection from some effects that normally reveal invisible creatures.

If you want a more practical suggestion, I'd go with Gwaeron's boots from Magic of Faerun (6000 gp). Continuous pass without trace and you "leave no scent whatsoever".

(Pass without trace doesn't explicitly protect you from the scent ability, and I vaguely remember some ruling saying that it doesn't [??], but that doesn't matter with this item due what I quoted above.)

Why not just Prestidigitation?

Why not just Prestidigitation? If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say "because prestidigitation can't do what he asked for". :P

Doesn't Pass without Trace also fool scent?

well, using the common sense, you will find the sense´s anulling spells at level 2:

blindness/deafness it is a level 2 spell, you maybe can talk with your master to extend it and add a "scentless" effect.

and also there are silence and invisibility that both are 1 min/level duration, being silence a 20 feet radius...
so you can maybe invent a single targered spell and makes you and your stuff odorless for 10min or 1 hour/level or an area of odorless for a duration of 1 minute/level.
the school would be transmutation (changes a quality of a object) or illusionism... the illusionism one would require a will save /negate.

althrought seems a weak spell, very conditionar, in some cases where the dm really wants to get the players detected this can ruin this plan... Im talking about a dragon, if the dragon cant see (invisibility), hear (silence) or smell (this spell) then the rogue would be able to sneak into this lair and steal everything.

I would say that expand blindness/deafness or an illusion spell that it is will negate would be balanced enought (the dragon have a change to save against)

Scent can't be that good. If you smell something, you can't determine the direction or distance. If a monster smells a familiar smell, it might be able to determine the distance by the strength of the odor, but nothing more. So what's the problem? They smell a presence, but can't tell where you are.

Edit: I'm sorry, you were talking about hiding. Why are you hiding? Just wait a few levels and you won't have to hide anymore. Spying on animals would no longer be necessary and if in trouble, spellcasters could teleport you out, or just kill whatever your hiding for.

Iku Rex: That would be perfect, but we are VERY far from 8th and 9th level spells... The boots are quite good, I will just have to find somewhere to buy it in greyhawk, hehehhe.

Caoslayer: What you mentioned are my plans: since invisibility is a 2nd level spell, maybe I could convince my DM to let me make a 1st level spell "odorless" like invisibility to undead. However, I don't think that it would work against a dragon and its senses.

Prutser: Scent is quite good indeed. I am sure a dog could spot someone invisible if close enough. For a troll, with a 10` reach, it would be even easier just try to smash whatever smells, and after that try to figure out what was there (which is what happened to me...). And you asked: "Why are you hiding?". Well, I am A ROGUE (a ninja, actually), what else am I supposed to do ? I hide and move silently a lot to try to catch oponents flat-footed, but not only that: I hide to put myself in a better position, I don't want to be in the middle of the monsters when I get visible after my first attack, it is not very healthy, you know...

Wizards released (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20021025a) a spell for this very problem 2 years ago.

Remove Scent
Illusion (Glamer)
Level: Brd 1, Rgr 1, Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Area: Creature touched
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless, object)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless, object)

The creature or object touched has all trace of an olfactory presence removed for the duration of the spell. The scent ability cannot detect a creature under the effects of a remove scent spell. It also negates the harmful side effects of the noxious stench exuded by certain creatures, such as ghasts, for the duration of the spell.

Material Components: A pinch of unscented candle wax.

Ahm....

Pass without Trace
Transmutation
Level: Drd 1, Rgr 1
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Targets: One creature/level touched
Duration: 1 hour/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
The subject or subjects can move through any type of terrain and leave neither footprints nor scent. Tracking the subjects is impossible by nonmagical means.

The remove scent spell if perfect.. hehehhe.. Even more if I can find someone to cast permanency.

The Pass without trace is subject to DM`s call: it can be interpreted that the spell erase your tracks, not that it erase your whole smell. It works good if I move, but I guess if I stay still my smell still remains.

Yeah, your smell hasn't left my apartment since Sunday, you stinky ninja:). Since smell is a trace, though, I'd interpret the spell as eliminating a scent trail.

Don't most dragons have tremorsense? I also think someone would notice his or her treasure vanishing before his or her eyes?

I'd swear I've seen a spell, somewhere, that supresses your scent completely for its duration. It must've been in Masters of the Wild, maybe reprinted in one of the recent Complete books.. I'll have to look when I get home tonight.

Or maybe it was on the WotC website somewhere....

I do recall that it was a 1st level spell, possibly a glamer, and that wizards could do it.
