using the spell "Minor Servitor" from savage species on a statue I've constructed, makes it an animated object (Large 4HD) it gains an intelligence, equal to an average human(3d6), and a charisma score...it's a permanent effect...if I make one and have it adventure with me will it gain experience? does it have a memory? it can follow complex tasks so it has to be able to remember something....and it's charisma allows it to interact on it's own with things, not very well, but it can do it.

does anyone have a RAW source that states one way or another?
or even a source that can be viewed as one way or another that is based upon a RAW, but might not be explicitly covered?

1.If I make one and have it adventure with me will it gain experience?
The offical answer would be no. The same way you can't have a '10th level guard dog fighter'. If your in a high powered game, though, there is no reason you can't do it.

2.Does it have a memory?
Yes!. Even with an Intelligence of 3 it could remember things, and it's more likely it's Int will be higher then that. Dogs, after all, only have Intelligences of 2....and dogs can remember things.

As for RAW. I'm not sure that #1 is spelled out anywhere. It's just the general idea that you can't have leveled animals/pets/mounts/ect. #2 can be found in the PH under intelligence, and the MM helps to compare creatures(an Animated Objects are listed there too).
