"Sudden" Question [Archive] - Wizards Community

Is it possible to "Sudden Maximize" and "Sudden Empower" at the same time in the same round on the same spell? I have had a player do this a few times and never been able to discover it in the rules if its possible.

08-09-07, 04:03 PM The feats do not have any restriction preventing this from happening.

Please note that Maximize and Empower have a clear rule in the PHB explaining that while they stack, they do not interact.

I.E. Maximized, Empowered 10th level Fireball is 60 + 10d6/2 not a set number of 90.

P.S. All other feats are debatable due to an insane FAQ ruling that I house rule against.
