06-03-05, 10:32 AM Is it at all possible to create Magic Items for animal companions? Something like a collar of Magic Fang or some other such item? I thought I remember reading about it somewhere but I can't for the life of me remember where.

Masters of the Wild (3.0 book) had a whole bunch of these items.

06-04-05, 02:35 AM Yes, you can create such items for animals. Keep in mind that animals can use plenty of the magic items all ready out there too. Most animals can wear Rings, for example. Most can use a necklace, amulet or medallion.

The DMG does say items can change size/shape to fit 'any' user. So a gnoll and a human can wear the same helm, as can a Ogre and a Pixie. If you go by that, you could put a helm on an animal too .
