Hi all,

Animal growth spell states that "Multiple magical effects that increase size do not stack."
Wild shape that is a supernatural ability allow a druid to take the shape of animal larger than he is.
Does these effects stack ? I mean if a druid wildshapes into a large bear (increase his size to large) and then cast animal growth on himself does he take huge size ?

Thanks for the answers.

Wildshaping is not an effect that increases your size, your base size is set to whatever the base size of the creature is, then animal growth makes it one size larger than that. It's not stacking, because they're not "similar effects," but the end result is an animal one size category larger than normal.

That question has been argued over and over.

WOTC said that the DM can decide that it does not stack. So obviously that question may only be answered by your DM. (or yourself it your the DM :p)

In my campaign, it works. (There is no stacking involved.)
There much more impressive things you can do than become a collosal t-rex.
Things that don't require you to be outdoors, even.

What kind of stupid answer did WOTC give? Yeesh. There needs to be one firm RAW. Everyone(almost) plays with house rules but is it too damn difficult to get proper rules clarifications? What does the RAW say? Answer WOTCH!

What kind of stupid answer did WOTC give?WotC gave the answer that DMs need.

Hyper-literalist DMs need to be able to rule that any spell that makes you bigger for any reason at all is considered to be "magical size effect". These DMs will not let the above two abilities work together.

Rules-spirit DMs need to be able to rule that unless the spell is designed to specifically result in a size increase, it is not considered a "magical size effect". These DMs will let the above two abilities work together.

In this case, it is not a stupid answer.
Needing WotC to spell it out for us, however... :P

The WotC ruling seems perfectly clear to me.

It says that "DMs may rule against it." Thus it follows, obviously, that without DM houseruling it, it works by RAW.
