| guerrerodelarcoiris02-26-06, 04:13 PM | I have a doubt: when animating a Zombie with an "animate dead" spell (players handbook page 198) the zombie rises with double the base creature hit dice. In the zombie description in the monster manual (page 266) in the advancement entry it reads: "as base creature, but duble hit dice (maximum 20)" so if i animate, for example, a worg (medium magical beast, 4 HD) (monster manual page 256) wich has advancement "5-6 HD(medium), 7-12(large)", would it be large? i don't really understand the advancement entry in the zombie description: does it means that the advancement doubles, so that the zombie-worg would be "10-12 HD(medium), 14-20(large)"? or it means it is setting a limit to the hit dice of the zombie? in other way, if i animate a worg, would i have a 8 HD large zombie with its corresponding strenght increases (+8 str from medium to large)? thanks in advance |

| guerrerodelarcoiris02-27-06, 08:14 AM | what i am stating is this: the worg's advancement entry says a worg with 8 HD is large. the zombie's advancement entry says that advancement is as base creature if i have a worg zombie with 8 HD, and a worg with 8 HD is large, and a zombie worg has advancement as base creature, do i have a large worg zombie or i am missreading the zombie advancement entry? do you understand "worg" im' saying? |
