| Jonny Reload12-24-04, 10:10 PM | Can they use bows or are they too stupid to do so? (I mean you only see them ever armed with Swords and Shields but do they have the intelligence to use a bow and the concept of lining up an arrow or cocking a crossbow?) |
| DemonMonkeyBoy12-24-04, 10:59 PM | :b: Here is a quote from WOTC Monster mayhem skeleton template found HERE (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mm/20010126a) Attacks: The skeleton retains all the natural attacks, manufactured weapons, and weapon proficiencies of the base creature, except for attacks that can't work without flesh (such as a mind flayer's tentacle attacks). So it your skeletons were from a bunch of dead farmers, than no they can't use a bow. I would allow the cross bow thou. |
| Jonny Reload12-24-04, 11:35 PM | Well I'm sure even a dumb farmer could comprehend the concept of a bow (And fire it as well... Even though he might not be completely accurate, it's not that far fetched to see a Farmer shooting a bow) |
| DemonMonkeyBoy12-25-04, 12:09 AM | :b: Well I would consider a farmer to be a commoner and there proficient with 1 simple weapon. Not that it really matters if your the DM. Just make the Skeletons as lvl 1 fighter and use most any weapon. |
