Oathrod aka Binding Rod
This smooth ivory rod is 18" long and 1.5" wide. One end is inscribed with an arcane symbol in red. When used this rod binds oaths to those affected. To bind an oath the oath taker holds the end of the rod with the red mark. The user, who must be a spell caster, holds the other. Then the oath taker swears their oath. How bind ng and restrictive the oath is is dependant opon the exact wording of the oath. The only way to break the oath is by the use of a wish or similar spell, or by using the oath rod again. No saving throw is possible against the affect, but spell resistance is.

For example. If a character was to swear to always tell the truth, they could not say "My name is Peter Pan", unless their name was Peter Pan. However they could say, when asked their name, "you can call me Peter Pan".

CL 11th, Craft Rod, Geas / Guest, 132,000 gp, moderate Enchantment.
