Quoted from the SRD:
Antilife Shell
Abjuration

Level: Animal 6, Clr 6, Drd 6
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: 10 ft.
Area: 10-ft.-radius emanation, centered on you
Duration: 10 min./level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes

You bring into being a mobile, hemispherical energy field that prevents the entrance of most types of living creatures.

The effect hedges out animals, aberrations, dragons, fey, giants, humanoids, magical beasts, monstrous humanoids, oozes, plants, and vermin, but not constructs, elementals, outsiders, or undead.

This spell may be used only defensively, not aggressively. Forcing an abjuration barrier against creatures that the spell keeps at bay collapses the barrier.

Also quoted from the SRD:
If an abjuration creates a barrier that keeps certain types of creatures at bay, that barrier cannot be used to push away those creatures. If you force the barrier against such a creature, you feel a discernible pressure against the barrier. If you continue to apply pressure, you end the spell.

What happens when creatures are within the 10ft radius? Which do you think happens:

1. Creatures stay where they are but can't push further in?
2. Creatures get expelled outside the radius? (although RAW seems to hint it doesn't)
3. The shell fails to materialize?

Thanks in advance for the help. :D

I've looked over the spell, and the definition of hedge(to Hedge/to herd) and the answer is #1, plus anything outside that 10ft. radius is kept outside for the duration of the spell. Very effective spell that is rarely used.

Okay thanks. I thought the same hence it was the first option.

Although, can one 'port or dimension jaunt inside the sphere? I think they can but again.. depends on the DM.

It doesn't say that it blocks teleportation, and it doesn't work across planes (teleportation is planartravel of a sort; you pass through the Astral Plane when you do it). I'm not sure, though.
