I have some questions about the Antilife Shell spell and combat:

1) Does the spell protect the caster from melee weapon attacks in combat assuming that most weapons have a 5 foot reach and the spell has a 10 foot radius centered on the caster?

2) If so, does this also apply to the caster if the caster moves within range of striking someone else in melee (i.e., also 5 feet away)? Can the caster even move towards someone to attack in melee because of the abjuration qualities of the spell which could dispel it (i.e, forcing a barrier)?

3) Can a creature with a 10 feet reach attack the caster with a melee weapon?

1) Yes. It does not protect against reach weapons.

2) You can't move to force someone back. That ends the spell. I.E. If I am 10ft from you and I have Anti-Life Shell up, I can not move towards you without breaking the spell.

3) 10ft reach WEAPON, yes. 10 ft reach natural weapon, no.

So a fire giant with his greatsword could reach the caster?
