07-06-07, 06:32 PM Does Spell Immunity Greater protect a character from an Antimagic Field? Further do the magical items of a character protected by Spell Immnunity Greater recieve the same protection?

Example: a Fighter with a bunch of magic stuffs enters an Antimagic field. What happens to his magical items.

Example 2: a wizard with magical items casts spell immunity greater on himself and walks into an antimagic field. What happens?

07-06-07, 06:40 PM The answer is *No*. Antimagic Field doesn't allow spell resistance and thus Spell Immunity will not work.
In both cases your magical items will be suppressed.

Reasonable and I'm inclinned to agree, except that golems don't stop moving. They, merely, lose access to any (su) (sp) abilities that they have. And a summoned creature that has spell resistance does not wink-out unless the caster beats a spell resistance check.

So in strange and odd form an antimagic field does have a kind of spell resistance.

Yes, AMF Spell Resistance *is in*, but works only against summoned creatures. Called creatures don't need to check SR.

That is because golems are treated as creatures, rather than magic items. Therefore, AMF would have no impact on them.:)
