| jnrhayz08-11-04, 11:06 AM | Well, I want to create an antimagic item for one of my characters and I am not to good with the magic item tables for figuring cost. My initial idea is for the Antimagic field using a caster level of 11th (since dispel doesn't work against it I don't see why you would need a higher caster level) and it will be continous use. So I based my calculation as follows: 6th level spell * 11th Caster Level * 2,000gp (for ring) * 1.5 (for continous on a duration 10min/ item) = 198,000gp I also figured for 20th caster level, but that cost is not attainable any time soon in our campaign. 6th level spell * 20th Caster Level * 2,000gp (for ring) * 1.5 (for continous on a duration 10min/ item) = 360,000gp What I am wondering, is if this is right and is there any item already out there or a better way to do this? Thanks for any help. |

Bulwark of Antimagic:Once per day, the wielder of this +1 Tower shield can command it to radiate an Antimagic field. Moderate abjuration;CL 11th;Craft Magic Arms and Armor, antimagic field;Price 27,580 gp;Cost 14,380 gp+575 XP, Weight 65lb. |
