I am looking for answers to some questions about Antimagic fields. I looked around some , but was unable to find any other threads.
Lets assume the 2 characters (x and y) are not in, but are seperated by an antimagic field (amf) that goes from wall to wall and floor to ceiling.

1-can x summon a monster on the other side of amf?
2-can a spell with a physical effect (fireball = glowing, pea-sized bead) pass through and explode on the other side?
3-can a spell without a physical effect (charm person for example) take effect on the other side?
4-if x shoots a magic arrow , does he get the magic bonus to hit?
5-if x shoots a magic arrow , does he get the magic bonus to dam?

AMF blocks Line of Effect. Things that ignore LoE include instant Conjuration spells such as Orbs of Fire, Teleportation effects, and items that are actual physical objects that are enchanted.

1) No, AMF blocks line of effect.

2) Almost right. Fireball peas are MAGICAL, not physical effects. You can tell because they have a duration. Physical objects created by magical means always have a duration of instant. So No, AMF blocks Fireball. However instant spells that produce non-magical items (such as Orbs of Fire, Orbs of ...) CAN go through the AMF.

3) No, AMF blocks line of effect

4) Yes. The arrow is magical when it hits.

5) Yes. The arrow is magical when it hits.
