| ninja104-12-04, 04:24 PM | Is there a limit to the number of these that a caster can control? |
| Iver Gearsham04-12-04, 05:46 PM | just the amout of xp and gp you want to spend |
| Elthbert04-12-04, 07:18 PM | Yes I had a wizard player IMC who made them of everyone in the party, cast perment illusions on them and then used them as shock troops against his enemies, hae also used them as assassians, he had somethig on the order of 15 of them, concidering the p[arty was about 18thlevel when he was doing this they where scary. I am not sure i will allow that spell agian. |
| [GSV] Kirstar04-13-04, 04:34 AM | I remember one of my characters had about a dozen of them. I used to leave them in my various places of abode. One thing we dont allow is for similcrums to use any spell that frains xp / abilities from themselves. If they attempt it they are destroyed in the attempt and the spell fails. If we are feeling exceptionally mean the spell fails and the creator of the similcrum loses the XP |
| ninja104-14-04, 07:58 AM | Very cool, thanks everyone..... Now for a new question: what if the target was undead? Lich, Deathknight, or just an awakened undead? For example, the minimum level to become a Lich is 11th. The minimum level to learn Simulacrum is 13 (wiz/sorc). What if a 13th level Wizard/Lich used simulacrum? Would we add its LA and make the simulacrum 1/2 of 17 (8)? or just 1/2 of 13 (6)? Would the simulacrum enjoy the benefits of being a Lich? |
| [GSV] Kirstar04-14-04, 08:14 AM | i dont think you can make a similcrum of a lich. if i remember correctly the ravenloft / vanheling ???? guide to liches had some form of undead minion that did similar stuff. I also had the same character mentioned above turned into a lich and had to use my simulcrums as puplic facers. On another note. I love the similcrum spell cus of the fun you can have with PC's I love the look on their faces when they see their arch enemy slop in to snow and realise that the badd guy is even bigger than they think. |
