Or if that doesn't work, can beguiler get it? This will be a multi-classed spellthief/beguiler using master spellthief from complete scoundrel. edit: I'm looking for a way to get the spell without multiclassing a level of sorceror or wizard. |

| Kevin Andrew Murphy06-16-07, 03:22 AM | If you took the Heighten Spell feat, you could conceivably memorize 0 level spells as 1st level spells, thus putting Mage Hand onto the spellthief class list. It could be useful for other effects as well. |
| arjomanes06-16-07, 03:24 AM | I don't think heighten spell would work, since it's not a spell known to the spellthief. I'm pretty sure you can't heighten a spell you don't have. It would be nice if that worked, but looking at the description it doesn't say it allows me to add spells to my spells known list. And it always qualifies the spell as being an 'effective' level higher, or 'heightened' level, or 'treated as' a higher level spell. It doesn't say that it actually becomes a higher-level spell. So it would still remain a 0-level spell I think, not a 1st level. |
