Alright here's the big question

I have the Initiative of Mystra Feat and want to do anyspell.

My DM says this means I have to cast anyspell as a cleric spell and memorize my 2nd level spell. Now I also have to have my 2nd level domain spell slot free (meaning I can only do this once). This spell now goes to my 2nd level domain spell slot and can only be cast there. (Apperently I can't do it if I already have a spell there)

Is it just me or is this not what it says.

ask your DM to read the spell again. he is miss reading the second paragraph.
the key is to point out the second sentence of that paragraph.

now normally anyspell would be prepped in your 3rd lvl domain slot and thats it. so if you are 5th lvl you could prep in your domain slots (assuming spell domain)
1st - mage armor
2nd - silence
3rd - anyspell

then later on during the day cast anyspell and prepare any 2nd lvl or lower arcane spell ie invisibility and then your domain slots look like this

1st - mage armor
2nd - silence
3rd - invisibility

initiate of mystra removes the restriction of having to use domain slots, so you could at 5th lvl prep it as a regular 3rd lvl spell.

also while the spell my be from the arcane spell list there is no arcane spell failure. i believe that some designer clarified this in an FAQ somewhere

Your DM is wrong only in that the arcane spell is supposed to re-use your 3rd or 6th level domain slot.

Generally, You prepare Anyspell/Greater Anyspell within your domain slots. Upon casting the spell, the domain slot is emptied and then filled up again with your arcane spell.

By the strict letter of the rules, if you cast this spell from a normal spell slot, the arcane spell still takes up your 3rd or 6th level domain slot. The fact that you aren't casting it from a domain slot in the first place causes some confusion (such as what happens if I already have something prepared in my domain slot?). Casting in this fashion does seriously weaken the spell too (since it uses up multiple spell slots). This doesn't appear to be the intention of its creators, however, and I would talk to your DM about having the arcane spell take up the same slot that you cast Anyspell/Greater Anyspell from. Otherwise (by the strict letter of the rules) you are getting gimped.
