| Vucarik09-27-04, 06:21 AM | Ok...I have quick question. Area of effect spell. Lets say Fireball. Large size creature is half in an Antimagic Field and half out. Does he take the damage from the Fireball or not? |
| SALDAR09-27-04, 06:49 AM | Yes. In the above case, even though part of the creature is within an antimagic field, part of that creature is within the area of the fireball and is beyond the field's protection. The antimagic field affects only those completely within its area of effect. |
| Vucarik09-27-04, 12:53 PM | ok in what cases are they effected and not effected? I have a player in my campain that is large and well this has come up a few times. I remember reading somewhere that if large or bigger creatures are effect by a spell partially, then they are completely effected. Just can't remember where I read it and can't seem to find it again. |
| Ishlyn09-27-04, 01:00 PM | You are correct, any creature no matter how large is in the area of effect of a spell suffers the full effect of the spell. Even if hit by 1 square by the fireball and the the AMF protects all others he is still hit. |
| Someone09-27-04, 01:39 PM | Though I would say that the large target could claim "cover" of sorts from the AMF. But on the other hand, if a large target is halfway outside the radius (i.e. far enough from the impact point), they take full effect... |
