I have a magic item, but I'm not quite sure how to price it, anyone care to help?

Golden Apple of Idunn
Slotless
1 time Heal (CL-15)
Grants possessor "Faster Healing Feat" from complete warrior.

The trouble I'm having is in setting a value for the feat, or even how one would imbue a magic item with such a quality.

Any suggestions?

You could try, pricing as if the caster had a wish/miracle cast on him, and a heal spell. So 32,000 or so.

If I read this right, the apple grants a one time Heal spell, plus it grants Faster Healing forever?

The way you *should* price items like that is by comparing to existing ones. I'd say it sounds comparable to a +1 Manual or Tome (27,500gp). The benefit seems less than a +1 on an ability score, but it's obviously easier to use. The the addition of the Heal effect should add several thousand to the price, so you end up in the mid to low 30k's.

Mechanically, per DMG guidelines, a use-activated 9th-level spell effect cast at 15th level and carried a 5000xp cost would cost 50 x 9 x 15 + 5 x 5000 = 31,750gp. Add the one-time 6th level spell cast at 15th level, and you get 31,750gp + 50 x 6 x 15 = 36,250gp. Since the item grants two effects for one action, you'd apply the surcharges described in the footnotes, so add 50% to the cost of the Heal spell, for a final total of: 40,750gp.

So anything in the range of 30 to 40k would be fair, I'd think.

You could use the arms and equipment guide rules for the item-

heal: 6th level x CL15x 50 (one use non-spell completion) = 4500
feat: 10000gp no item slot (its in you) x2 20000

Therefore the cost is 24500gp per apple

I think +1 to an attribute is worth a bit more than a feat, since there is no feat that can replicate that without major prerequisites.
