So if I take chill touch as a spell and then use the ability with arcane channeling, I can use a standard action to charge my weapon with my spell and make an single attack. Now what I'm really need to know is what happens next round. Can I continue to make attacks with my sword as a full round action(assuming I will eventually have multiple attacks), or am I stuck making one standard attack action with my sword if I want to use it to channel the single spell for multiple attacks? If the former is how arcane channeling works, then chill touch is slightly superior to using shocking grasp unless there is one big opponent that needs to be dropped quickly, otherwise shocking grasp is almost always a better spell. |

(2) Next round you play as normal. You can choose to use Arcane Channeling a second time, or you can do something else. (3) If you read just a little bit farther, you should see another paragraph starting with the sentence "At 13th level...." or something like that. It continues to say that if you use a full-round action, then you can cast your spell into your weapon. When you do, all attacks that hit cause the target to be affected by the spell. For instance, if you use Arcane Channeling with Shocking Grasp and you hit 2 times, you will deal +10d6 damage because the target was hit by the Shocking Grasp spell twice. That make enough sense? |
