I was just looking at arcane disciple from complete divine, and it appears to read to me that if you take it twice, you get to cast each domain spell once a day. IE, if I cast my first level spell from one domain, I can still cast my first level spell from the other domain once that day. Does anybody else read it differently, and if so, why specifically? I have a couple of ideas I'm kicking around, but I want to be sure I'm not misinterpreting this.

I take it as being able to cast each spell 1/day...

As did I (each 1/day).

However, if you were to consider it working strictly like the domain spells of clerics, then it would be one or the other 1/day, per spell level. If your DM is going for strict interpretation, I'll bet that's what would fly.

Also, here's a thought; what about using Domain Spontaneity feat? Arcane disciple is best for the dread necromancer, beguiler or warmage; it adds the spells directly to their lists.

But in the case of the dread necro, you also have rebuking and meet the requirements for the feat. Makes you wonder if you can take arcane disciple and domain spontaneity and get those 9 spells as often as you want...

Actually, the beguiler is exactly what I was thinking of. Seems like you could come up with some pretty good combos, especially for an NPC. And the way the feat's worded, it says treat them as class spells, so it'd be pretty hard to justify only one for each level if you take it multiple times. But like I said, I am looking for alternate interpretations and justifications.

Given the cost and limitations (see casting off wisdom) then, unless you are in a exceedingly high point buy game, I think that it is only fair to allow access to each spell 1/day instead of a domain spell at each level 1/day.
