Arcane Spells that buffs ability ,other than enhancement [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-06-06, 03:39 PM I'm searching for spells that buffs ability scores that could stacks with items, so other than enhancement bonus.

Is already a list somewhere on the boards?

If not, could you help me to make one ?

Tell me every arcane spell that comes in your mind and please specify the manual, and if you want also level and school, and i'll take the list updated.

09-06-06, 04:33 PM Not much really. Personally, I think it's unfair. The Druid gets owl's insight. Like Druids of all things, need that kind of boost. They're strong enough already. Pfeh.

It increases your BAB, gives you a +6 Enhancement bonus to Strength and some temporary hit points.

Righteous Might gives size bonuses to Strength and Con, plus natural armour and DR.

About polymorph,which creatures are good to tranformate at medium / low HD (7-10)? I see ,ogre ,minoutar etc have low abilities (19-21 Str ,15/18 Con )

And the best creature with 15 HD ?

Yes, polymorph yourself in WAR Troll (Monster manual 3). You need to be 12th level.

You'll get a str of 30, and from memory 28 dex and con, and +14 nat armor.

Best form i have seen so far with this spell.

But beyond polymorph and the likes ,are there other spells increasing scores?
Smtg like insight or luck ,morale dunno....

Ok i found one : Rage, form the PHB eheheh completely forget about that spell :)

But i know that you can do better,con guys :P

My memory is quite fuzzy as well, but it is supposedly some endlessly repeatable loop that gives you +2str per cycle, the cancer mage uses this to get his spell dcs up to some arbitrarily high number which no foe has a chance of beating, save on a natural 20.:P

Sirene grace gives enhancement bonuses and its only for druid and bards
