arcane symbols [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-06-05, 10:20 AM does anyone know where to find a good gallery with properly arcane symbols to be used in rituals and the like. and also as a mage's personal rune.

03-06-05, 10:29 AM Personally, I find I can adapt neat-looking "arcane" symbols by going through my history notes and re-copying some of the doodles I've made in the margins of the pages.

03-06-05, 01:01 PM If you look carefully at the first page of the 'Spells' (or is it Magic?) section of the Player's Handbook, behind the text you can make out the 'official' arcane symbols for each of the schools of magic. A clearer version of the image can be found here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/ph35_gallery/PHB35_PG169_WEB.jpg). I like to use those, sometimes.
