Ok, so let's say a caster has levels in Archmage. The caster also has some Spell-like-abilities (not uncommon with Archmages). Can that archmage use Arcane Reach and Mastery of Shaping and Mastery of Elements with his SLAs?

For example, if the Archmage has Otto's Irresistable Dance as a SLA, can he use Arcane Reach to make it a ranged touch attack?

All three of the abilities say they work on spells. Spell-like abilities are not spells.

(If they were, why would Empower Spell-Like Ability, Maximize Spell-Like Ability or Quicken Spell-Like Ability need to exist?)

Well, no SLA versions of Arcane Shaping, etc that I know of exists, so I was wondering if it'd be overpowered to let them affect SLAs.

I suspect it would, because it would allow monsters with SLAs to use the tricks as well (provided they had levels in the Archmage class, of course). Don't just think of the benefits to your character; think about the consequences of the rules change elsewhere in the ruleset.

True, but as the DM, I can say that very few monsters will have levels in Archmage.

As DM you could rule that the monsters with SLA's could take a modified version of archmage and still be within RAI
