But if it's for the purpose of Weapon Focus, Complete Arcane expanded "Weapon Focus (Ray)" to "Weapon Focus (Ranged Spells)".

however ray deflection from the SC will block them anyway as it specifically works against all ranged touch attacks, and as witch said, CA expanded weapon focus (ray) into weapon focus (ranged spells)
