| rks04-22-07, 02:56 PM | I will be starting an archivist from lvl 1, and I am in dire need of knowing if a domain spell is considered to be a spell list for any class. The reason for this is that archivists can scribe any divine spell in their prayerbook, and the thought of going around an casting fireball as a divine spell is quite alluring... However - does the Sage or any other official source any answer to this? Are domain spells considered to be on a spell list for any class? If yes, what class? Thx in advance! |

Nowhere in the archivist description does it state that the divine spells he learns need to be drawn from another class's spell list. Domain spells are not on the cleric spell list so the could not be selected as one of the new spells learned at every level. Domain spells are considered to be on the spell list of clerics that select those domains. Thus they can do such things as scribe scrolls of domain spells and use spell completion or spell trigger items of domain spells. Thus an archivist could find a scroll of domain spell and attempt to copy it into his prayerbook. Arguably all divine spells are on the archivist's spell list. |
