Are failed scroll spells lost? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-23-05, 08:21 PM If you try to read a scroll that is higher than your current level (or if you are doing so via Use Magic Device) and you fail (but no mishap), what happens to the spell on the scroll? Is it lost during the attempt, or can you try again?

10-23-05, 09:07 PM If there is no mishap, the scroll is fine. You simply failed to activate it.
