DanielAlejandro1678 12-22-06, 11:30 PM	are the save dc very lowers of the spellcasters? i mean, are really equal for esample a barbarian of 16th level and a wizard of the same level?the barbarian hits more often and save the spells too, but the spells deal more damage than an average weapon for a 16th level cha. but are they really balanced? or there are more rules for increase the save dc taht i didn't reas yet?

runestar 12-22-06, 11:45 PM	I think he is asking if save dcs are too low in a game. I would say no, you can always target the weak save of a foe, and use spells like enervation or limited wish to further lower the weak save.:)
Norric121 12-25-06, 04:03 PM	Initially they are; I agree with poster above. In combats against big creatures you're going to have to soften them up a bit first. Keep a Wand of Enervation handy ;)
Dragonan 12-25-06, 07:03 PM	I find that my group that is current level 14 to 16 have very combatable DC for spells against average mobs, but if they are fighting exceptional monsters they lack after the fighting classes but that could be the way they are playing. The wizard is very evocation focused and have trouple against high level monsters with high reflex saves, but against everything else I have trouple making his high DC so his fireballs often dealing full damage :) But it is not always the DC you need to be looking at when you look at wizards/sorcerers (and other casting classes) it is more all the other spell such as crowd control so the fighters are not run over... The clewer wizard don't show him self but assist the others until he can make the killing blow... A wizard starting with a Fireball is one that I as DM often target first, but if he takes it slow I often get more aggro from the other in the party. That way he very seldom takes that much damage!
