| Seeker9501-17-08, 11:39 AM | shatter might work on the hinges if they are visible. summon monster X might get you an ally that can fit under the door. lesser planar ally can possibly do the same Depending on the nature of the construction, meld into stone can let you enter the wall to the right of the door and exit on the other side to the left of the door, depending on how your DM defines "surface". This requires a liberal DM. freedom of movement will let you ignore the door's impediment to your ability to walk through the archway it is blocking. (I.am.kidding.on.this.one) |
| narack01-17-08, 12:21 PM | summon monster X might get you an ally that can fit under the door. I wish by X you mean as a variable not X as 10 because that wouldn't be in the range level :P and if that would be the case it woudl certainly be able to blow up that door :D |
| Tommyboy01-17-08, 01:45 PM | Could you cast Shatter on the lock? Or roughly where it would be? Stone Shape could be used to make a hole through the wall or door. Summon a Fire Elemental to burn through a wood door. |
| mvincent01-17-08, 02:21 PM | ....opening a door locked from the other side?As mentioned: - Stone shape. - Lesser planar ally: lantern archon to teleport behind the door and open it (note that using summon monster IV to summon a lantern archon would not work, since it could then not use it's teleportation ability). Why can't you just hack it down? If it's one of those invulnerable walls, maybe Divination can tell you how you are supposed to open it. |
| runestar01-18-08, 07:30 PM | Or you could try summoning an earth elemental to travel through the wall or door and open it from the other side. I am not sure if lantern archons are able to manipulate objects, since they appear to lack appendages.:P |
