| Gareshra09-21-07, 02:42 AM | increase the size of animals, familiar, or myself(and by extension my familiar) for a long period of time. I'm talking hours, or possible 10min/level intervals which could be extended. Anything will suffice. Animal Growth is good, but not quite long enough. Any suggestions? |

| BilopTheFleshwarper09-21-07, 04:21 AM | quick question... why? is there a reason for needing a "small" sized familiar instead of a "tiny" sized one? but there are none that I know of that last as long as you're wanting because they understand that being bigger has advantages, and so does being smaller. as a non spell option you could take some levels of druid and go into the PrC that lets you use your animal companion as your familiar, horses with 18 int and what not... |
| Gareshra09-22-07, 11:54 AM | My DM has given me a dire weasel familiar due to improved familiar and that he's nice enough to stretch things a little bit. However, Dire weasels advance to large size at 7 HD. If I can increase their size to huge, and cast overland flight on it, then maybe buff up it's strength, I could fit the entire party on it and use it as a weasel airplane. |
| InkBlot09-22-07, 12:24 PM | Enlarge person. A wizard can cast spells on his familiar even if the spell can't normally effect magical beasts. Share Spells: At the master’s option, he may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) he casts on himself also affect his familiar. The familiar must be within 5 feet at the time of casting to receive the benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the familiar if it moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the familiar again even if it returns to the master before the duration expires. Additionally, the master may cast a spell with a target of “You” on his familiar (as a touch range spell) instead of on himself. A master and his familiar can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the familiar’s type (magical beast). Augment familiar in Complete Warrior (and the Spell Compendium IIRC) increases your familiar's Str, Dex, and Con by +4, gives it DR 5/magic, and a +2 bonus on saving throws. And it's only level 2. This doesn't increase your familiar's size, but it does make it much more formidable. |
