| Geomancer06-23-07, 10:03 AM | The 'Force' weapon enchantment from the Arms & Equipment Guide (sorry, no page reference) indicates that it can either dispel a force effect spell protecting the target hit by a 'Force' weapon or suppress a force effect generated by an item worn by the target hit by a 'Force' weapon. How long does this suppression last? TIA, |
| groveborn06-23-07, 04:58 PM | Just use the rules for dispel magic. It's referencing it. |
| Pitiless_Interfector06-23-07, 05:21 PM | Actually, force weapon has been revised in Magic Item Compendium. Now it just ignores incorporeality and DR. +2 enhancement. |
| Vanigo06-24-07, 03:19 AM | Ignore all damage reduction for a measly +2? WTF? |
| Lafing Cat06-24-07, 04:11 AM | Ignore all damage reduction for a measly +2? WTF? It does seem a bit over the top, but its projectile weapons only. (still doesn't do a damn thing to stop those scout/Rangers with Greater Manyshot though >_<) |
| Eikre06-24-07, 06:40 AM | When you note that archers already have the most efficient way of piercing damage reduction, i.e., carry many sorts of arrows and use them in conjunction with a powerful bow, you can see how it's not as great. Maybe you should pick it up after you already have a full +5 on that bow. Maybe. That, and archers really need to pierce that DR. |
| Geomancer06-24-07, 12:02 PM | Just use the rules for dispel magic. It's referencing it. 1d4 rounds. Thanks, graveborn. |
| Nezkrul06-24-07, 06:23 PM | but its projectile weapons only. If this is the case, then its not an update, its an entirely new 'force' enhancement for weapons. The one you can put on melee weapons is in A&E guide. |
