Ok...
I am trying an artificer in my newest campaign...

OK a few pointed questions!!!

1. Since my scrolls are neither arcane nor divine, am I subject to the armor arcane failure check if I try to scribe a scroll in my armor (I am not sure I would ever do this, but I am just curious)?

2. I am confused about using a scroll I created. When I use my scroll, am I subject to Armor penaly?

3. To use an artificer scroll (with an arcane or divine effect) do I need to make a UMD check?

4. So to make a cure light scroll, I spend 12gp 5 sp worth of raw materials, 1 xp (1/25 of base price), and 36 minutes. Do I make a UMD check at 21 to create it (20 + caster level)?

P.S. I got the 36 minutes with reverse math. It said 1 day per 1000 gp of base price. Cure Light Scroll is 25 gp. So, it is 0.025 x 24 hours or (1440 minutes)....

I am also looking at pg 238 which says : "Using a scroll is like casting a spell for purposes of arcane spell failure chance (as if from armor)"

I know the infusions are neither arcane nor divine, but do I run into the Arcane Armor issue when activating a scroll I scribed..

Let me point you to a truly excellent guide for the artificer by Edymnion here -> http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=813665.

That answers pretty much all the questions you had better than I could.

1. No.
2. No.
3. Yes.
4. No : you need 8 hours minimum per day, and you can only work on one item per day. However, you could scrible a multiple-spells scrolls.
