| warok02-02-05, 02:26 PM | unlimited times per day |
| argorond02-02-05, 02:36 PM | yes yes but is it standard action like normal spell-like abilities or is it free action because its at will? |
| Beamup02-02-05, 02:37 PM | Unless otherwise stated, they're still standard actions. |
| warok02-02-05, 02:59 PM | up beamup is correct, standard action unless otherwise statted |
| cwslyclgh02-02-05, 04:44 PM | at will just means an unlimited number of times per day, they still follow all of the other rules for SLA's including activation time. |
| Keenath02-02-05, 05:07 PM | Exactly, you still have to spend a standard action to activate the ability. From the SRD: Spell-Like: Spell-like abilities are magical and work just like spells (though they are not spells and so have no verbal, somatic, material, focus, or XP components). They go away in an antimagic field and are subject to spell resistance if the spell the ability resembles or duplicates would be subject to spell resistance. A spell-like ability usually has a limit on how often it can be used. A spell-like ability that can be used at will has no use limit. Using a spell-like ability is a standard action unless noted otherwise, and doing so while threatened provokes attacks of opportunity. So there's your answer. No components to activate it, but it still takes a standard action unless the description actually says it's something else. |
