| Paper_Weasel06-20-07, 11:36 PM | I'm involved in an empire-building, nation-versus-nation strategy campaign set in Faerun. Many of the characters know or are the rulers of various countries. A lot of questions seem to come up regarding the number of people with PC classes in the average town or city. Particularly for my character, as a high member of the Rashemi Wychlaran, I wish I knew how many other wizards in her cities could join her circle magic. Does anyone know how many wizards ought to be in cities of various sizes, or know where I could find that information? |

If your in a metropolis, the highest level wizard is 4d4+12 I think. In a Large City, it is 3d4+9. Small city 2d4+6, and Large Town d4+3. Im not sure if this is 100% accurate, as the charts hard to read, and I also got this from the 3.0 DMG. It doesnt say the total number or the average level of the classes though |
| Valoy_Muniz06-21-07, 10:05 AM | In a city you have Highest level npc (not counting speacl people you add) are level 1d6 adapt 1d4 Aristocrat 1d4 Barbarian 1d6 bard 1d6 cleric 4d4 commoner 1d6 druid 3d4 expert 1d8 Fighter 1d4 monk 1d3 Paladin 1d3 Ranger 1d8 rouge 1d4 Sorcerer 2d4 Warrior 1d4 Wiz The size of the town is a modifer on the roll Trop -3 Hamlet -2 Village -1 Small Town 0 Large town +3 Small city +6 (roll each 2 times ) Large city +9 (roll each 3 times) Matropolis +12 (roll 4 times) Once you have the highest level to then writ it down and then devide his level in 1/2 and write down 2 time the amount at the level untill all the classes. Fill in any other poupulation with npc classes at level 1. So if the other city is a matropolis you can find out the highers level wiz as 1d4+12 and 1d4+12.(I will assume you roll a 2 and a 3). This means you have the follwing brack down in the city probly in 2 seprect schools (1)14 wiz (2) 7 wiz (4) 3 wiz (8) 1 wiz (1) 15 wiz (2) 7 wiz (4) 3 wiz (8) 1 wiz For 30 wiz on the city. In my game (high power) instead of rounding down I round up so it would be. (1) 14 wiz (2) 7 wiz (4) 4 wiz (8) 2 wiz (16) 1 wiz (1) 15 wiz (2) 8 wiz (4) 4 wiz (8) 2 wiz (16) 1 wiz For 61 wiz in the city. |
