| TheMagister06-20-05, 01:22 AM | When I cast the Awaken spell on an animal, "its type becomes magical beast (augmented animal)." Easy enough. However, there are MARKED advantages to being a magical beast-type over being an animal-type. Some of the things gained are: Increased Hit Dice size: d8 to d10. Increased Base Attack: 3/4 HD (as cleric) to Total HD (as fighter) These are just a few of the examples found in the glossary of the Monster Manual. My question is: does an awakened animal GAIN these features retroactively? Thanks... TM |

So no to both (check your Monster Manual). |
