05-04-07, 03:46 AM Just wondering I know in the spell description it says that an animal that has had this spell used upon them cannot serve as animal companions but are you able to cast it upon an animal that is already your companion?

05-04-07, 03:56 AM No. That is, yes, but it'd stop being you companion. It would become a Friendly/Helpful NPC.

05-04-07, 04:52 AM It would also become a candidate for attraction through Leadership. I played a druid once who had leadership and would awaken and befriend animals to fill the follower and cohort slots.
