| Kurama Youko10-03-04, 02:15 PM | I saw someone in another post say something along the lines of, "If you want to play an animal play a awakened animal not a anthropmorphic creature." I have yet to see WotC release a LA for the Awaken Spell. Please Someone if you know of a source that shows the LA for this Spell please tell me it. I wouldnt mind playing a Awakened Black Wolf casting produce flame and lobbing them with my mouth or paws. or a Bat that polymorphs into a Human and lobs lightning bolts. Like some kind of reverse Dracula. I'd like nothing better than to play a raging bear. Thank you. :D |

Also, WotC has somewhat of a point to recommend anthropomorphic creatures (from Savage Species) instead, because those have much fewer issues with lack of hands, odd sizes, etc. That being said, Awaken *is* a core spell, and it's a crying shame that WotC has put out NO guidelines for how to run this thing. That's a huge oversight in my opinion. Anyway... to make a long story short, have a look at the Awakened Animal Thread in my sig for more details, plus a bunch of LA calculations. LA for an Awakened Wolf for example should be about +1 (similar to a Worg). |
