This +3 chaotic great axe held by anyone else than a barbarian, works like a +2 greataxe.
However in the hands of a barbarian shows it's true power.
As an aditional the barbarian gains the benefit of BARBARIAN RAGE any time he feals the emotion of beieng threatend by someone.If raged, the barbarian gains +6 str and +4 con not the normal +4 and +2.
Extra the barbarian can rage once per day as adition to his normal limits.
COST TO CREATE: Carster level: 18, Blood of a barbarin while raging, Nails of an orc, bull's stength, (the spell for con:D ), 90.00 GP, 2.500 XP.
The original axe was made by the bones of berthog, an orc king, 1.000 years ago. Althrought The original was much stronger then this, the "recipie" was lost.

If the recipie is found the creator AND onley the one that created this copy, Can cast a wish spell to make it a +3 chaotic vorpal, loosing the benefits of the rage.

12-02-03, 08:30 PM Doesn't a barbarian get +4 str, +4 con for rage already, and +6 str/+6 con for greater rage?

It's the same in both editions. +4 STR, +4 CON, +2 Will saves.

3.0 PHB, p. 25, top of page.

3.5 PHB, p. 25, bottom of page.
