I have the only arcane spellcaster in my group. We're level 18, and my CN sorcerer just found a scroll of Axiomatic Creature. The duration on this says permanent and that it can target multiple creatures.
My question is this, it would benefit the party to use this, but by becoming axiomatic, do I change my alignment to lawful? If so, I don't want to use it. I like being chaotic alot!

It's a 9th level Sorc/Wiz spell in Book of Exalted Deeds.

thanks.. actually it is an 8th level spell (now that I know where it is I can look it up)... and can only target Lawful or Neutral creatures, so your CN sorcerer can't be affected by it :(

however answering the other part of your question, the spell doesn't say that it changes the targets alignment.

Also, in order to cast it, you must have the archon subtype(either by being an archon or some how gaining it while casting the spell(Shapechange might work, but I'm not sure if it gives subtypes)).

Axiomatic creature makes the target an axiomatic creature(That sounds a bit redundant, doesn't it?). Basically it's the lawful equivalent of celestial and fiendish.

Also, in order to cast it, you must have the archon subtype Not from a scroll (or staff for that matter)
