But, what I am wondering, is if this rule applies to 'any' extradiminsional space? For example, if I cast Mordicanen's Magnificent Mansion and enter it while wearing a bag of holding, does the bag tear a hole into the astral plane? Or is the rule limited to just those two specific items? |

Rope Trick has specific words of warning on this (from the revised SRD): Note: It is hazardous to create an extradimensional space within an existing extradimensional space or to take an extradimensional space into an existing one. . Magnificent Mansion doesn't have that warning, but the logic would still apply. So, by the rules (implicitly, at least), I would say taking a bag/hole/etc. into your Magnificent Mansion is a very bad idea. However, as a DM, I would rule it is fine, especially for a 7th level spell. Now CREATION of another extradimensional space from within the mansion is another matter entirely... What good is making the groovy mansion if you can't even take your stuff into it with you? :uh-huh: |
