Hi!

I'm playing an Aasimar cleric at the moment, and as we are leveling up mobs are getting stronger too, now im more and more afraid of Dismissal, and later Banishment.

What I wanted to ask is that what is the home plane of my aasimar (as i will be banished there)? What does NATIVE outsider mean? Only that i have to eat/sleep etc? Or that the material plane is my home plane?

And if im banished to any other plan than the material, how to get back? :P

Thx in advance ;)

A native outsider is an outsider that is native to the material plane.

as an assimar, you lack the extraplanar subtype, there for dismissal will not work on you (either in 3.0 or 3.5). Banishment will not work on you in 3.5, but due to a wording problem I believe that it might work on you if you are playing 3.0, if such is the case I have no idea where you would go (as banishement states that it removes the target from the casters home plane, rather then stating that it sends the target back to it's home plane).

note that my replies above presume that you are on the material plane, if you are on any other plane your assimar gains the extraplanar subtype (as do any other memebers of your party that are native to the material plane) and can be dismissed or banished back to the material plane.

Well you do have a disadvantage, but that's not it (It's the level adjustment). Some beneficial spells are "person" based like enlarge person which would not work on you (granted there are far more detrimental "person" spells which you're happlily immune to).

Well, for dismissal, there is still that 20% chance of sending him to a random plane. :)

Well, for dismissal, there is still that 20% chance of sending him to a random plane. not realy, in 3.5 he can't be targeted with a dismissal spell (unless of course he is already on another plane). the dismissal spell has a target line of Target: One extraplanar creature
