| Jam_Warrior03-11-07, 01:35 PM | In Barrow of the Forgotten King there is a fairly early on door locked with an arcane lock spell. Seeing as the adventure is set for level 2 chars there is a good chance (as is the case with the party I'll be running through this) that they don't have access to knock or dispell magic. Is the only option left to batter down the door? It really seems like they forgot to add something to the page in the adventure explaining a 'proper' way to open it. |

| Seeker9503-11-07, 04:07 PM | Arcane lock An arcane lock spell cast upon a door, chest, or portal magically locks it. You can freely pass your own arcane lock without affecting it; otherwise, a door or object secured with this spell can be opened only by breaking in or with a successful dispel magic or knock spell. The "proper" way to open a door with arcane lock is spelled out. Battering is the option for those who cannot enter freely, dispel it, or knock it. Battering is a "proper" way. |
