Malakant 07-08-05, 02:47 AM	This spell is out of the heroes of battle book. Does this spell let you counter a spell when its not your turn without readying an action? The spell says you can counter an identified spell as a free action, but you can only do free actions on your turn.
The Simbul 07-08-05, 02:12 PM	It is most likely a typo and oversight, along with the fact that the words "...or until discharged..." are not included in the duration section of the spell header. Heroes of Battle doesnt have that special "swift and immediate actions" sidebar that has been printed in the magic or spell sections of almost all the new 3.5 books, so perhaps that may have something to do with the designers not utilizing those rules in the effects of Battlemagic Perception. The counterspell function of the spell would be useless if you could not do it during your opponents turn, thus any DM with enough common sense to be in that role will tell you that it is a simple error and nothing more.
