Grogmir 02-26-07, 11:53 AM	Hi There I’m just starting a Beguiler as well, Gonna be great fun to play especially when the other two members of my group are a knight and a Paladin! LOL…. Anyway, Could someone confirm there are gaps in the PHB2 list of spells, for example in the text they mention using Haste, but its not in there list of spells IIRC, Has there been a correction done on the beguiler list at all? Puca 02-26-07, 12:02 PM	Something like that would have to come up in en errata, and there is not one out for the PHBII. I think you have to just go with the list they give, regardless of any errors in the example text. That or sell it to your DM.
Jacob Orlove 02-26-07, 03:44 PM	You're looking at the list of new PHB 2 spells that made it onto the Beguiler list. The full spell list is at the end of the Beguiler section, right after the sample NPC (page 11, I believe). It does include Haste, and a lot of other great spells.
SunTzuWarmaster 02-26-07, 06:19 PM	Playing a beguiler right now, and even though I have the PHB2, the most helpful thing to me has been this: http://www.dndadventure.com/dnda_spells.html do a CTRL+F for beguiler and download/print the spell reference. I keep you from hogging the PHB, and speeds up game time significantly. By the way, Blinding Color Surge and Stay the Hand are, IMHO, extremely overlooked spells. Blind an enemy for a round AND go invisible! Immeiate action for a Will Save or you-can't-hit-me ? Hells Yes.
wizard of Newfoundland 02-26-07, 07:31 PM	I play a beguiler/wiz/ultimate magus and i noticed that in the combat section it mentions casting grease but it not on the list. I talked to my DM and got it added into the list yay! By the way, Blinding Color Surge and Stay the Hand are, IMHO, extremely overlooked spells. Haven't used blinding color surge yet ( but want to) but Stay the Hand has saved my ass a couple of times now

SunTzuWarmaster 02-27-07, 08:56 AM	Yea, I'm in the Ultimate Magus/Beguiler/wizard(illusionist) One of the cool tricks I use a bit is Metamagic School Focus (Illusion) + Sculpt Spell to spontaneously cast a color spray (using a level 1 slot) at range with eigther 4 10' cube or a 20-radius sphere. Will save or take no actions this turn for everyone you can catch (assuming all are above 4 HD). It's like getting the surprise round.

Yeah I got the spell list I just thought there was a few missing in the text that weren't on the list (on page 11) However the thing that I got wrong was that it wasn't haste that they mention and didn't include but grease like The Wizard of Newfoundland said. So basically I was just wondering if there were any others I was missing. I'm also going the Beguiler/Wiz/Ulimtate MAgus route. Howeer I was thinking about going focused specilist (form C.Mage) to get loads of Transmutation spells as well, I'll let you know how it goes. Final word to SunTzuWarmaster, Thanks for the link.
