Best Home-made spell [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-22-05, 10:56 PM Okay, for those few of us who have created your own spells (any kind)...
What was the coolest homemade spell you've ever made?

Mine was a 2nd level sor/wiz spell called Wildfire Burst. To make a long story short, a blast of fire that attacks enemies within a 20 foot area. Sounds simple, but it hits multiple times, and the damage can add up if if there's only a few enemies.

06-23-05, 04:48 AM My favorite spell, although not homemade (stole it from another system), is Elwynd's Magnificent Bosom. target gains a magnificent bosom. Females permanently gain 1d4 Cha, while males lose a ton of honor.

06-23-05, 06:01 AM My spell, Blood Petals, came in 3 versions (Lesser, [normal], and Greater); the first dealt a little more damage than the average for its level on a number of creatures with blood being integral in their anatomy (only humanoids, monstrous humanoids, dragons, outsiders, animals, magical beasts, unless otherwise mentioned [vampires, blood golems, and the like are included, while a demon may well not be included according to its description]) along a line, the second works on a short cone but still deals an extra punch of damage, and the latter dealt Constitution damage, or HUGE damage on creatures immune to it, in a long cone.

06-23-05, 07:20 AM Its tough to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I would go with the one I made that creates a familiar like minion out of the energy type of your choice. The minion had lots of niftly little things it could do that made you're life easier on many different levels. Good stuff.

Other than that I like grease fire, which is like grease, but its on fire. :mage:

My Umbral Assassin spell is lots of fun. It imbues the targets shadow with a malicious intelligence, and the shadow attempts to attack the victim with something akin to an assassins death attack.
