| GeminionXX04-17-04, 12:21 AM | A place to post some of your favorite weapon abilities. (i.e. Speed, Vorpal, etc.) Let's hear 'um. :fight!: |
| Lord Lorac Silvanos04-17-04, 12:45 PM | Spell Storing It only costs +1 and is extremely powerful when you are up against the BBEG. :mage: + :fight!: = :b: (Of course if your GM swarms you with minor critters it is less usefull and it also requires that you have a caster in your party) :fight!: :invasion: :thumbsdow :fight!: :behold:  |
| Sorxores04-17-04, 11:07 PM | I like my keen scimitar mighty cleave: 15-20 (3.0) but vorpal affect only on a 20 with power critical (Complete Warrior) I do very often critical hit, and usually a critical hit is enought to kill one creature in a swarm of enemies, so mighty cleave let me kill more then two and give liberate a feat for my spell casting (I'm a druid) |
| Aramek04-17-04, 11:36 PM | I vote for Sweeping. For a mere +1 enhancement, it will add a +4 bonus to all trip attempts. A +1 Guisarme of Sweeping. Someone with 18 Str. Large. Improved Trip. That is a +16 to the trip attempt. Man I love it. |
| Edymnion04-17-04, 11:41 PM | Spellblade. Are you dependant on buff spells and tired of getting Dispelled? Spellblade for Dispel Magic. Every wizard on the plane think you're a walking Magic Missle target? Spellblade. 100% immunity to any one targetted spell, and the ability to bounce the chosen spell BACK at the guy that cast it at you? For only a +1 bonus? WHOO YEAH! :D |
| Orcy The Green Wonder04-17-04, 11:42 PM | Lets see... Orcy would say the best enchantment in 3.5 in his eyes would have to be Wounding. A character with two weapon fighting and wounding is just plain evil. As for other ones... Orcy has always been fond of Keen. |

For only a +1 bonus? WHOO YEAH! :D Yeah, that enhancement is a bit broken. Since it is based off spell turning, however, I think it should have the same limitations that spell turning has and the price should increase depending upon what level spell it turns. I also think it should be a fixed price and not a 'plus' value. My vote for the most powerful enhancement is greater wounding (updated in booklet, originally in MM2). Dealing 2 con damage (not drain) every hit for a +4 enhancement is just rediculously powerful. As long as the creature is vulnerable to crits and has more than 4 HD, your investment will pay off. Thankfully, the fact that it doesn't work on creatures immune to crits somewhat helps offset the power. I still think it's stronger than brilliant energy and vorpal. |
| Mirror-Image04-18-04, 07:34 AM | Wrathful healing ( +3) from arm & equipment heal half the damage you dish out valorous ( +1) deal double damage at charge |
| Nyat04-18-04, 12:11 PM | I am also a big fan of spellblade, since I usually play arcane casters it is nice to have just in case another caster starts trying to disintegrate me. I hadnt thought of dispell magic on it though... Spellblade has been updated in the Players Guide to Faerun, just so you guys know. And now it is a set price, making it all the more useful. |

Fixed price? *salivates* I'll take Spellblade (Dispel), Spellblade (Greater Dispel), Spellblade (Disentigrate), Spellblade (Finger of Death), and Spellblade (Magic Missle) please. Hell, if its a set price, I can just take it for every targetted spell that I'm afraid of. Most of my characters aren't equipment dependant, so there's nothing like spell immunity! :D |
| flyingmoose04-19-04, 01:04 AM | I'm a big fan of vicious. It's a +1 enhancement (melee only), each successful hit deals +2d6 damage to the target and 1d6 to you. Aside from +2d6 for a +1, I love the roleplaying potential. "Say, great fight. He never touched you. Why are your eyes bleeding?" You gotta have the hit points for it, though (or just a weighted d6). |
| Mikal05-01-04, 08:31 PM | Heh, my new favorite enhancements together are wrathful healing and vicious. Add em onto some weapons, and never worry about the vicious damage again. |
| Elrana05-01-04, 09:14 PM | If ever anything was broken the blue wand is. A magic item from Monte Cook's Book of Eldritch Might: Bluewand: Despite its name the bluewand actually is a greatsword. Its name comes from the fact that it is such a boon to arcanists. This electric-blue weapon weighs half what a normal greatsword weighs and carries a +4 bonus. This keen weapon is a bane toward magical beasts. Further, it doubles all the 1st- through 4th-level arcane spells the wielder uses, in the manner of a ring of wizardry (Core Rulebook II, page 195) Caster level: 20th; Weight: 7lbs. As a regular player of arcanists how much do I want one of those! How broken? (P.S. As a direct quote from the book the page reference is 3ed., not 3.5) |
